ECA International is a consultancy firm providing international mobility solutions for multinational companies. They are making yearly a survey about mobility and Expatriate Salary Management. From the 1994-2015 surveys they observe that long term assignments, what they call « traditional expatriation » is declining. From 63% in 2008 to 50% in 2015. This move is balanced with short term assignments and commuting or other form of assignments rising respectively to 33% and 22% within the same period of time.
